Sacreligious have premiered "Occasion for War", a song from their debut album Brutality Incarnated, which they release themselves on 25 September.

The band formed in Gothenburg in 2024 and this is their first record, eight songs behind a demo called Enslaved Temptation from earlier this year. It was recorded, mixed and mastered at Studio Fredman, the room where the Gothenburg sound was built, and the cover was painted by James Campbell.

What they play sits between two eras of the same city: the buzzsaw guitar of Entombed and Dismember on one side, the newer American brutality of Sanguisugabogg on the other, fast and filthy rather than melodic. Gothenburg has produced both and rarely in the same band.

Felix Dahllöf sings, William Alvarsson and Hugo Rahm play guitars, Nellie Taghizade plays bass and Filip Staberg drums. They play Stockholm on 25 September, the day the album arrives, which the band call the biggest show they have had.
