Sacroment put New Age Aggression, their first album, on the streaming services on 31 October, with a CD edition to come through Elevate Records.

Eight songs, and the sequencing is the first thing you notice. Tortured Souls is the introduction, and it is placed fifth, between New Age Aggression and Embalming the Decomposed, rather than opening the record. Nightmare Abomination takes that job instead and Scythe of Obliteration closes.

The band name Protector, early Death and Kreator as their reference points, which puts them in the late eighties rather than anywhere near the present, and describe their own writing in terms of blast beats, blunt riffing and melodic solos built to work in a room.

Malta produces very little of this, which makes the touring record the more interesting fact. Active since 2023, the three have already played France and Bulgaria and opened for Putrid Pile on his 2026 European run, which is a long way to travel from an island of half a million people to find an audience for brutal death metal.

The CD is up for pre-order and the album is streaming in full.
