Samy Elbanna has the hardest job in Finnish metal at the moment, and he has just been asked the obvious question about it.
Fronting Children of Bodom for their return while still leading Lost Society means two sets of dates, two sets of people and one voice. "Time management, 100%," he told Chaoszine. "But no, it doesn't clash with Lost Society. I think things go very naturally, and until this point also, it seems like something's happening when something's not happening with the other camp."
He says the practical fix is the one everybody in his position uses: run the two on different cycles, and lean on the teams around both. "I have a lot of good friends who do that same thing," he said. "For everyone it's sort of like you just have to manage to make both things work in a different cycle."
And then the line that explains why he took it at all. "Especially for something this special, I think it's a no-brainer that we'll find a way to make it work." He has already said what he thinks about new music under that name.
