Saor will tour Latin America for the first time in February 2027, playing a set drawn from Roots and Aura.
Both halves of that are unusual. Andy Marshall has run Saor as a studio project for most of its life, with live line ups assembled for specific runs, so any tour at all is a decision rather than a routine, and a first crossing of the Atlantic for a band on its seventh album is late by most measures.
The setlist is the bigger surprise. Roots arrived in 2013 and Aura in 2014, which means the band are going to a continent that has never seen them and playing the two records furthest from what they sound like now. Those albums are where the Scottish folk melodies sat hardest against the black metal underneath, before the later records smoothed the two into one another.
Venues and dates have not been published yet, only the month.
