Sarlic Bliss release Melodies Of A Dying Dawn on 27 November, three years after the debut Braegn Haeft. Six songs, just over forty five minutes, which averages out at the length epic doom songs are supposed to be.
The vinyl is the detail. It is strictly limited and it is sold only by the band and through their own Bandcamp, not through a distributor, which tells you the size of the pressing without anyone having to print a number. The CD goes out normally.
The band carry former members of Midnattsol, and the reference points offered with the announcement are My Dying Bride, Draconian and Swallow The Sun. That is a fairly precise coordinate: slow, melodic, Northern European in temperament even though the band are from the south of Germany.
Only the cover has been shown so far. No song has gone up yet, which for an album six weeks out is late rather than early, and suggests the first one is close.
