Sepultura will hold an event called The Last Ceremony on 5 November at Cine Joia in Sao Paulo. Two days after it, on 7 November at Suhai Music Hall in the same city, the band play the last concert of their career. Chaoszine reported it, crediting ThePRP.

The farewell has been shrinking as it approached. The final show was first set for the Mercado Livre Arena Pacaembu, a stadium that holds twenty six thousand, and last month it moved to a hall holding nine thousand. Against that, adding a second night in a venue smaller still reads less like a scaling down than a decision about what the ending should feel like.

The band announced they were stopping in December 2023 and the farewell tour has been going round the world since. Forty two years from a start in Belo Horizonte in 1984, when Max and Igor Cavalera named the band after the Portuguese word for grave, taken from translating a Motorhead lyric.

What The Last Ceremony actually consists of has not been described beyond the name, the date and the room.
