Servant have released "De Profundis", the third song from Lux Ex Inferis, which AOP Records puts out on 2 October. Lethian of Nornír guests on it, and it comes with a video.
It will be the German band's fourth album in five years. They started in 2021 with Blessed by the Light of a Thousand Stars, followed with Aetas Ascensus in 2023, and signed to AOP for Death Devil Magick in 2024, which they toured through western and eastern Europe.
The label describes the new record as keeping the aggression of black metal while widening the melodies and the atmospheric passages, with the traditions of the genre placed inside a modern production rather than dropped. The cover art is by Misanthropic-Art.
The earlier singles were "Glorification" and "Tabula Rasa", the latter with P.G. of Groza. After the release the band tour with Firtan and Spere, along with festival and club dates.
