Seven Kingdoms have released a video for Sono Sola, the lead single and title track of the album Reigning Phoenix Music put out on 29 January 2027.
Sabrina Cruz describes it as the first look at a new era, and the change is technical before it is anything else: the band have tuned down and she has moved into her lower register, working with what she calls delicate nuances, raw grit and powerful belting rather than the high clean lines the band were built on. For a power metal band that is a real decision, not a press line.
She said the lyrics are about the wisdom gathered through a life and the humbling part of it, that the more you learn the more you understand how little you know, and that the song comes down to isolation, resilience, nostalgia and regret. The video was shot alone in the barren country near Groom Lake, which she said made the feeling more tangible.
The band formed in DeLand, Florida, in 2007. Jim Morris shares the music credit.
