Silent Civilian will play twelve dates in December for the twentieth anniversary of Rebirth of the Temple, opening at Dante's in Portland on 1 December and closing at The Paradox in San Antonio on 18 December.
The band is Jonny Santos's, and it exists because of what happened to his other one. He sang on the records that made Spineshank's name, left, and built this group in 2005, with the debut arriving the following year. Having spent the past year or so touring with a reunited Spineshank, he is now taking the other half of his catalogue out.
The route is a club tour and nothing grander: the DNA Lounge in San Francisco, The Whisky in Los Angeles, The Bisbee Grand in Bisbee, The Roxy in Denver, the Bourbon Theatre in Lincoln, The Shrine in Tulsa, Jake's in Lubbock, Pub 529 in Houston, the Haltom Theater in Haltom City and Come & Take It in Austin between the two ends.
Two albums in twenty one years is not a catalogue a band can tour on indefinitely, which is exactly why an anniversary run works: the record has an audience that never got to see it played in full.
