Sinister have put out "The Strangulation", the first song from Lucid Nightmares, through Massacre Records.

They have been doing this since 1988, which in Dutch death metal makes them the first generation, and they have never been the band that reinvents itself between records. What changes is the line-up, which has turned over many times around the drummer Aad Kloosterwaard, and what does not change is the writing: short songs, mid paced riffs that break into blasting rather than being built on it, and a vocal sitting low enough to be an instrument.

A first single called "The Strangulation" from an album called Lucid Nightmares tells you the band have not developed an interest in subtlety either.

It is out as a lyric video through Massacre, who have had the band on and off for most of that time. The album date has not been given with it, which for a band at this stage usually means the record is finished and the label is choosing a window rather than chasing one.
