German heavy metal ensemble SKULL & CROSSBONES, the newly formed band featuring former Stormwitch members, has unveiled a riveting track from their forthcoming debut album, 'Sungazer'. The debut album will be made available as CD Digipak, Ltd. Vinyl LP, and Digital formats on September 8, 2023, via Massacre Records.
The band describes 'Nature’s Legacy', as a song inspired by 'occult, pagan nature religions. The beauty of nature is celebrated from a dark perspective, leaving a legacy to be proud of. It draws inspiration from 'The Witches’ Almanac'. The track is a classic metal composition, punctuated by a calm, hypnotic interlude that builds up to an energetic power metal solo.'
SKULL & CROSSBONES, comprising ex-Stormwitch members Volker Schmietow, Tobi Kipp, Jürgen 'Wanschi' Wannenwetsch and Marc Oppold, along with vocalist Tobi Hübner, continue their legacy in traditional heavy metal.
The album Sungazer was deftly mixed and mastered by Marc Ayerle at KlangManufaktur, and features eye-catching cover artwork created by Michael Vetter.
