Slayer will run a pop up shop on Hollywood Boulevard from 12 to 14 November, built around the fortieth year of Reign In Blood and two sold out nights at the Kia Forum on the thirteenth and fourteenth.

The shop sits at 6250 Hollywood Boulevard, next to the W Hotel and Amoeba Music, and is produced with Global Merchandising Services. It carries the anniversary merchandise line plus items that exist nowhere else, and a limited number of general admission tickets for the two concerts will be sold over the counter while they last.

The part worth noticing is what the band are selling. They are releasing a portion of their own stash of the liquid zoetrope pressing of the album, bundled with a commemorative triptych and a coin. A band putting its private copies of a forty year old record on sale is a different commercial instinct from pressing more of them, and it is one that treats scarcity as the product.

The line up for the shows is the one that last toured in 2019: Tom Araya, Kerry King, Gary Holt and Paul Bostaph.
