Sleep Token have issued a public statement denying any connection to outside musical projects that invoke their name, which for a band whose whole method is saying nothing is an event in itself.
"A word, for the sake of clarity," the message opens, as quoted by Chaoszine. "Sleep Token has no affiliation with any outside musical project that invokes this name, nor with anyone who uses it to promote one. Such claims are not made with our blessing and are not endorsed by Sleep Token. What is ours is here, and here alone."
Nobody is named. Chaoszine reports that fans have pointed to Arcus, a project that surfaced online in September with a teaser, and that some have claimed it once described itself as coming from a co creator of Sleep Token. Those claims are unconfirmed, and the project's current biographies make no such claim.
The timing gives the statement its weight. The band have been quiet through 2026, with no new music since Even in Arcadia in 2025 and no show since Los Angeles in October of that year. A group that has spent a decade refusing to explain itself has now explained one thing, which suggests the matter mattered enough to break the rule for.
