Suffer UK have put out a lyric video for "Self Immolation", a track from Soul From Flesh, the five song EP Arson Theory released on 7 August.
They are five people from Wolverhampton and they describe what they play as Black Country death, which is both a genre and an address. Greg Hevican sings, Kie Whitehouse and Klaudiusz Trzbuniak play guitars, Jack Cooper plays bass and Jack Kent drums. Ant Wall recorded and edited the EP, Will Cattanach built the guitar tones and mixed and mastered it, Lee Walters made the video.
The catalogue behind it is longer than the band's profile suggests. The EP Slerm came in 2019 and Heavy Silence in 2020, then the album The Sorrow We Sow, The Hatred We Know in July 2022, eleven songs with Alex Teyen of Black Tongue and Josh Davies of Monasteries guesting on it. "Pendulum of Vengeance" opened this year in March.
The video went out through Slam Worldwide, the channel that carries most of what the deathcore and slam bands release before anyone writes about it, which is usually the only place a record like this surfaces at all.
