Svartsot are headlining a European tour in February. Trold, who are Danish like them, and the Swiss band Morgarten are the support for the run.
Svartsot have been doing this since 2005 and have six albums, the most recent of them Peregrinus last year, all of them sung in Danish and built out of folk melodies that are actually Danish rather than generically Nordic. That is the distinction their audience turns up for, and it is why a tour of this size works for them in countries where nobody understands a word of it.
Three bands and one headliner is also the arithmetic that makes February work. The month is cheap for venues, the festival season is months away, and a folk metal bill is the kind of night that sells on the strength of the whole package rather than on one name.
