Tour poster: Svmerion and How to Disappear, European Tour, September 2026

Two bands open a six date European run tonight in Oostende, the first time either has played the continent. Svmerion plays death metal and How to Disappear plays shoegaze and post black metal, and although one is registered in Durango and the other in Coahuila they come from the same place: the Comarca Lagunera, the northern conurbation where Gómez Palacio runs into Torreón across the Nazas river. They are travelling together and playing the same six rooms.

The routing is Belgium and the Netherlands first, then a five day gap, then the eastern half: Oostende on 10 September, Amsterdam on the 11th and Heerhugowaard on the 12th, followed by Košice on the 17th, Kraków on the 18th and Warsaw on the 19th.

Neither band is on a label. Svmerion has one full length behind it, Origin, Then Chaos from 2019, and has since released a single a year: Sagan (Made of Cosmos) in 2024, Alone in 2025 and The Flatwoods Monster in 2026, the last named after a 1952 sighting in West Virginia. It is the band's third name, after Doomsday Avantgarde in 2010 and Sumeryum in 2013.

How to Disappear is four years old and has moved faster: a single in 2023, a second in 2025 and a full length, As the Sun Could Leave Us, in the same year.
