System Of A Down have added a fourth night at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena. The run is now 5 and 6 June with Pierce The Veil, then 10 and 12 June with Gojira.
It started as one show. Gojira were added for the third, and the fourth has followed, which for a stadium that holds ninety thousand is a run almost nobody in this music can book.
The band have not released an album since 2005. Four nights at that size, twenty one years on, is the clearest statement yet that the catalogue is doing the work by itself and that nothing new is needed to fill a field.
The two supports split the run cleanly in half, which also splits the audience: one pairing for the people who came through the 2000s and one for the people who arrived later.
No other dates at the venue have been added, and nothing has been said about a wider run around them.
