Tarja has put out "Tango" with Apocalyptica playing on it, from Frisson Noir. The part worth noting is what happens on 27 November, when the song gets a limited ten inch single whose B side carries two recordings that will exist on no streaming service at all.

They are "Tää Tango (Piano Demo)" and "Tää Tango (Band Demo)", and they show the song being built, starting from the piano sketch that gave it its name. Keeping them off the internet is a decision about what a physical record is for, which in 2026 is one of the few arguments left for pressing one.

The song itself opens on a tango figure played by the cellos and tightens until guitars and drums arrive behind the chorus. "I wanted this song to be a special one, and as I have always loved the sound of the cello, Apocalyptica was the perfect artist to work with," Tarja said.

The two acts have circled each other for thirty years without ever doing this. "We have known Tarja since the mid-90s and working with her has always been at the top of our list," the band said. "She originally redefined what it means to combine classical singing with metal." All three of them appear in the film for it alongside her.
