Teramaze play Japan for the first time in December, opening both nights of a short DGM run in Tokyo.

Koenji HIGH on 3 December, Akabane ReNY alpha on 4 December. Two rooms, two nights, and the whole thing came out of the bands meeting on a bill at ProgPower USA and deciding they wanted to keep going.

Thirty three years is a long time to wait for a first Japanese show, and Japan is the one market where progressive metal has never needed explaining to anybody. The band from Geelong have made thirteen albums in that time, most recently The Silent Architect this year, and have changed line-ups often enough that the constant is Dean Wells and the writing.

DGM have been going almost as long out of Italy and have played Japan before. Two bands at this level crossing the world for two shows is not an economic decision, which is usually when the shows turn out to be worth attending.
