The Crawling release the EP What We Leave Behind today through GrindScene Records. Two songs, eleven minutes and thirty seven seconds between them: A Song to Nurse the Sickness at five twenty eight, and Bound to the Negative (Requiem) at six nine.
Two tracks that long is a format choice, not a shortage of material. This band have always worked at the slow end of death doom, where a song needs its first two minutes just to settle, and an EP of two gives them room without asking anyone to sit through an hour of it.
A video for the first is out on their own channel. The Crawling formed in Lisburn in 2014 and this is their fifth release.
