Theosophy have put out a video for "Birds Under The Sky", filmed in Barnaul, the Siberian city the band have worked from since 2004.
Eekseye directed it and Apocalyptic Witchcraft published it. The song comes from Line Before The Event Horizon, which appeared on 25 September, and the announcement points at the melodies and the blast beats in roughly equal measure, which is a fair description of what this band do.
Shooting at home is not a small decision for a band this far from any scene. Barnaul sits closer to Mongolia than to anywhere with a metal industry, and most bands in that position film somewhere that looks like the album cover instead. Putting the actual place on screen is the harder and more honest option.
The line up has barely moved in twenty two years: Phantom sings and plays bass, Egiborg plays guitar, Eeks Eye keyboards, Skinner drums. Longevity of that kind in atmospheric black metal usually means the band stopped caring about an audience a long time ago.
