Through Their Eyes have released "And Forth Stepped the Apparatus", a single with Dalton Evans of A Winter's Remorse guesting on vocals. It came out on 14 September.
They are three people from Essen, in North Rhine-Westphalia, and the division of labour is unusual: Niki sings and writes the words, Dave also sings, and Dustin plays everything else, guitars, bass and drums, and produces, mixes and masters it as well. DAMNATIONMEDIA did the artwork.
The catalogue is short and getting less short. "A Punctured Retina" arrived in 2022, the EP Cherish Your Life in 2025, the single "Brad Pitstop" earlier this year, and now this one, with Leuchtenkaiser Records behind them. Dustin also plays in Cogitations and has been through Beyond Scorn, Pestilectomy, Chokeslam, Uga Uga and Reduction.
What they play sits where deathcore, slam and brutal death meet, which is the part of the underground that the big sites leave alone and that the slam channels carry first.
