Season of Mist have put out a video for Tombok by Thy Catafalque. The song is from the thirteenth album under that name, the one built around a drummer rather than a drum machine for the first time.

That change matters more here than it would almost anywhere else. Tamas Katai has run the project since the nineties largely alone and largely in a room, assembling black metal, folk, electronics and whatever else the record needed out of parts he played and programmed himself, and the programmed drums were part of the texture rather than a limitation he was working around.

Hungarian is the other constant. The titles stay in it, Tombok among them, and the project has never translated itself for an audience that mostly cannot read them.

Season of Mist have carried the records for most of the last decade, which for a one man avant-garde metal project putting out an album roughly every two years is an unusually stable arrangement.
