Trick or Treat release the twentieth anniversary edition of Evil Needs Candy Too tomorrow, and the important word is edition rather than reissue.

They went back in and played the record again, which is a riskier choice than cleaning up the master. A band at twenty four years old does not sing the way it did at four, and this version will be judged against a debut a lot of people are sentimental about.

Eleven tracks, from It's Snack Time to Back to Life, with Girls Just Want to Have Fun still sitting in the middle of it. Written by Robert Hazard, made famous by somebody else entirely, and covered here by an Italian power metal band in 2006 for reasons that made sense at the time and still do.

Alessandro Conti sings it now as he did then, and the band have released Time for Us All ahead of the record. Out tomorrow, independently, on CD.
