Trollfest have put out a second version of "Claiming the Walk of Fame" after the first one was criticised for being built from AI imagery, and they have handled the complaint the way they handle everything.
"While we understand everyone's concern for our future and critic of our latest video, we decided to make a new one that contains no Super Intelligence," the band said. "In fact, this was made with 100% Human Intelligence."
The original was made by Mr. Seidel, who is in the band, which is part of why the response landed the way it did: this was not a label handing a budget to a generator, it was a member of the group using the tools in front of him. Both versions are now up, and the band have not taken the first one down, which is the more interesting half of the decision.
The song itself is unchanged. It remains the second and last single before Trollywood, the tenth album, which Reaper Entertainment release on 6 November with eleven songs mixed by Jacob Hansen. The record puts the band's trolls inside the entertainment industry, which in hindsight is a subject that was always going to produce an argument about machines making pictures.
