Turnstile were the musical guest on Saturday Night Live on 3 October. They played BIRDS, then a medley of I CARE and DULL, all three from Never Enough.
The booking follows the Grammy Awards on 1 February, where BIRDS won Best Metal Performance and Never Enough won Best Rock Album. A hardcore band from Baltimore taking the metal performance category and then a network stage inside the same year is the shape of what has happened to this group over the last five years.
They started in 2010 and the first two releases were EPs on Reaper Records, Pressure to Succeed in 2011 and Step 2 Rhythm in 2013. The debut album Nonstop Feeling came on 13 January 2015, recorded at Salad Days Studios with Brian McTernan producing. Time & Space followed in 2018, Glow On in 2021 and Never Enough in 2025, which charted in the top ten in five countries including the United States.
The line up is Brendan Yates on vocals, Franz Lyons on bass, Pat McCrory and Meg Mills on guitars and Daniel Fang on drums. McCrory came in from the Baltimore band Angel Dust after the founding guitarist Sean Cullen left.
The band are on the road in the United States through October, with festival slots in Austin and Arizona and two nights at Camp Flog Gnaw in Los Angeles in November.
