Tygers of Pan Tang have released Electrifyed, their new studio album, more than forty years after they helped define the New Wave of British Heavy Metal.

The band planned it from the start as a record for the heavier side of their sound. The writing looked back on purpose to the raw energy of their formative years, while leaving room for the current line-up to bring its own chemistry. Singer Jack Meille told Metal Hammer Italia that heavier was better throughout the writing and recording, and that the aim was to be carried by a heavy riff without losing the melodic touch of the band's best songs.

The ten tracks are "Rise Up!", "Forevermore", "The Powers That Be", "Dark Divinity", "Electrifyed", "A Shadow On Fire", "The Nail", "The Fight Goes On", "Dark Skies" and "Revenge Is Sweet".

The band formed in Whitley Bay in 1978. Electrifyed follows Bloodlines, released in 2023.
