Uhritulet release Ruumissavotta tomorrow through Purity Through Fire, as a CD digipak. It is the second album and the only record out on either side of today.

Seven songs, and the running order says something. The title track opens, "Pedon ruumis" follows as the one piece anybody has already heard, having gone out as a single last year, and then five more in Finnish until the record stops on "Freezing Winds over the Hills of Kolkku". A black metal band who sing in Finnish throughout and then switch to English for the closer are making a decision, not an accident, and Kolkku is a place rather than a word anyone translates.

The announcement in September set out what has changed since the self-titled debut of 2023: the tempos come down and clean singing is allowed in, which in this corner of Finnish black metal is closer to heresy than to a trend.

Purity Through Fire have put out both albums and the single between them, which is three releases in three years from a label that does not sign many bands twice.
