Uhritulet will release Ruumissavotta on 19 October through Purity Through Fire, the same label that put out the self-titled debut in 2023. The title track is online.

V.P., who is the whole project, has taken the second record in the direction most Finnish black metal goes the other way from. It is mostly mid paced, the recording is clearer than the debut's, and there is room in it for quiet passages and for clean singing of the sort Isengard used. The rhythms are described as marching, which is a fair warning: this is weight rather than speed.

The connection to the German underground, to Luror and Hellfucked, survives the change. So does the melancholy, which is the part of the Finnish tradition that no amount of slowing down removes.

Eight titles on a Digipak CD, of which seven are songs and the eighth is a demo recording called Liekin Takaa carried over as a bonus.
