Canadian extreme metal band UNBOWED have unleashed another new whirlwind track, “Fire of Wode,” today that further showcases their unbridled fusion of menacing doom riffs and razor-sharp blackened vocals. The song again shows the layers of frenzied extreme metal musical prowess that have earned the group praise from underground fanbase to mainstream metal media.
Head-banging dual guitars, monstrous leads, epic riffs, and a thundering rhythm section propel metal band UNBOWED’s devastating new single “Fire of Wode”. Out now via all major digital providers, the song is a teaser for their upcoming full-length album "Colour the Soul" which will be released on May 20th.
Commenting on the new single, UNBOWED states:
‘Wode’ can be understood as an uncontrollable inspiration; a burning passion. This is also a hint as to the meaning of the name ‘Odin’ or ‘Wodin/Wodanaz’, god of death, war, art, and eldritch wisdom. Essentially this root of his name is placing him as an infallible force upon the natural order of the world. It creates a rather formless, yet artistically manifested rationalization for a god’s potential existence within any age of man. It goes beyond the idea of a bearded man in the sky, in other words.
