Vanishing Point have put out Bring Me The Night with a video, the first song from Eremition, which arrives worldwide on 20 November.
It is the seventh album and the first in six years, after Dead Elysium, which itself ended a long silence. The Melbourne band have never worked to a schedule and do not pretend to. “For us as a band, it's always been quality over quantity,” Chris Porcianko said. “When the quality is there, that's when it's the right time to put it out into the world.”
On the song itself he was more specific: “'Bring Me The Night' is about not letting other people's negative emotions and actions steer your direction in life. It's high energy, heavy, and very melodic, with a big 80's AOR influence, all presented in the characteristic Vanishing Point style.”
The band formed in 1995 and have spent thirty years as the Australian melodic metal act everyone else there is measured against, largely by turning up rarely and well.
