Video of Venom at the Milwaukee Metal Fest on 26 July 1997 has appeared on YouTube, with Cronos, Mantas and Abaddon all on the stage. "Welcome To Hell" and "Witching Hour" are among the songs, and the set opens with "The Seven Gates Of Hell".

The timing is what gives it weight. Cronos, whose name was Conrad Lant, died on 1 October at sixty three, and footage of him in that line up has been scarce enough that most people who know the band by name have never seen it move.

1997 is a specific year in that catalogue. The three had been back together since 1995 and Cast In Stone followed in November, on Steamhammer, so the Milwaukee set sits a few months before the only studio record the reunited original three made for that label.

Nobody has said who shot it or why it took twenty nine years to go up. For a band whose live legend was built largely on description rather than on tape, that hardly reduces the value of it.
