Vér have given out the title track of A Féreg Pusztulása, their first album, which Me Saco Un Ojo Records releases on 3 December. Eight songs, and the second one shown so far.
The band are from Budapest and have moved quickly. A demo in September 2024 was their first public appearance, and the label liked the eighteen minutes on it enough to press it to cassette in early 2025 and then sign the album.
The reference points the label reaches for are specific rather than flattering: early Cemetary and Grave, Immolation in the middle of the 1990s, early Absu. What they describe is winding structures, sharp changes of dynamics and an atmosphere built partly out of effects pedals, which is an unusual thing to advertise in death metal and suggests the murk is deliberate.
The title track went out through a magazine rather than a channel. Paranoia came first, with a video, and is the one you can still watch below.
Brad Moore made the cover. The record is up for pre-order on CD, on black and neon green vinyl, and digitally.
