Vér will release their first album, A Féreg Pusztulása, on 3 December through Me Saco Un Ojo Records. The Budapest band formed in 2022 and until now had put out one demo, in 2024, which makes this a four year run to a debut rather than the usual rush.
The first thing out of it is a video for Paranoia, the fifth of the eight tracks. The rest are A Féreg, Anyaméh, Élőholt, A Gép, Elvermelés, the title song and Szörnyek, and the titles stay in Hungarian throughout, which for a band whose name means blood is the point rather than an oversight.
How it sounds: death metal with the low end kept thick and the tempo willing to drop out from under a riff, closer to the cavernous end of the genre than to anything polished. Me Saco Un Ojo have been putting out that kind of record for years, so the fit is not an accident.
The line-up is Bence on vocals, Patrick Königh and Ádám Kiss on guitars, Márk Szilágyi on bass and Bende Tóth on drums, several of them also in Iron Steel, Retorsion and Sex Riders. Thrashocore carried the announcement first, with the genre and the country attached, which is the reason that site sits where it does on our list.
