Violet Eternal have released "Azure Explosion", the first song from Azure Stardust, which Rockshots Records put out worldwide on 22 January 2027. It is their second album.
The band are half Italian and half Japanese, which Metal Archives handles by filing them under no country at all, and the arrangement is not a gimmick: the live album they released last year was recorded in Tokyo, and the singer and the guitarist work from opposite ends of the world between tours.
Three years from forming to a second album and a live record is quick for melodic power metal, a genre where bands usually spend that long on the artwork. Rockshots have had them since the 2024 debut, Reload the Violet.
No tracklist has been published with the single. January puts the record a long way out, which in this corner of the genre usually means two or three more songs before it lands.
