Vlad In Tears have released Never Fear The Pain, the newest song from Undead, the double album Metalville puts out on 4 December.
Twenty years is what the record is counting. The first disc is a new album, fourteen songs, darker and more melodic than the band have been; the second is eighteen older songs re recorded and rearranged the way they play now, which is a rarer choice than a compilation and a more exposed one, because it invites the comparison instead of avoiding it.
Never Fear The Pain sits sixth on the new disc, between Una Distanza Che Non C'è and Too Far From Your Light. Several of the new songs carry Italian titles, which for a band who built two decades singing in English says something about where they think they are now.
Three of the five are brothers: Christian Miconi sings, Alessio Miconi plays lead guitar, Dario Miconi plays bass, with Puneete Vohra on guitar and Francesco Cosma on drums.
Six German dates follow in December.
