Warpit have dated their first album. Legends From The Giants' Land arrives on 27 November 2026, and the second song from it, "Beast", came out with the announcement.
Nine tracks: "Primordial", "The False Gods", "Parabellum", "Beast", "Aristoteles", "Stone and Dust", "Jaws Of Evil", "The Other Door" and "Warpit".
The band come from Cagliari and the subject matter comes from the island underneath them. They write about the Nuragic civilisation, the bronze age culture that left Sardinia covered in stone towers, and about the Shardana warriors who belong to its myths. The name is a contraction of Warrior's Pit.
"Beast" takes its character from Christian Jacq's novel about Ramses. Serramanna was a Shardana who ended up commanding troops for Ramses II and guarding him personally, which is the sort of figure a Sardinian thrash band would find useful: local, violent, and documented somewhere other than a tourist brochure.
They formed in 2023 and put out a self titled EP the same year. For a band three years old, a debut with a historical argument behind it is a more ambitious opening than most.
