Werewolves release You're Weak and You Know You're Weak tomorrow, 9 October, through Back on Black. Nine tracks.

Seven albums in seven years. The Dead Are Screaming in 2020, then one every year since without a gap, and a boxed set last year on top of it. Very few bands in extreme metal keep that pace, and the obvious objection, that nothing written that fast can be any good, is one this band has been answering since the second record.

The titles do the rest of the talking: Uroboric Fuckwit, Tank Habit, Burn It to the Ground, Triple Negative, So Say All of Us, Fields of Suicide, We March, The Song of Stupid Men, and the album title closing it. Contempt as a structural principle rather than a pose.

Tank Habit is out as a video through the label. David Haley has drummed in this band since 2019, which in a project running at this rate is less a line-up note than a feat of endurance.

They are from Melbourne, and the Australian scene they come out of has produced most of the last decade's fastest and most hostile death metal. This is the record arriving on schedule to keep it that way.
