Winterfylleth are reissuing Rising Of The Winter Full Moon on 27 February through Resonance, twenty years after they recorded it.

The demo everyone knows has three songs on it. The session had five. "At the time of its recording, we actually captured five tracks during the session, rather than the three tracks that are more commonly recognised as the main release," Chris Naughton said. The missing two were early versions of Forging The Iron Of England, then called Wayland's Smithy, and Defending The Realm, and both appear here as instrumentals for the first time on any format.

The artwork changes too. The original illustration gives way to an archival photograph of the place that inspired it, which for a band whose whole subject is English landscape and memory is the right swap to make.

"When we recorded the demo in 2006 and 2007, I don't think we could ever have imagined what the band would grow to become," Naughton said. He calls the recordings raw, cavernous and developmental, and he is not wrong, but people have been asking for them for two decades.
