Wolf have released Waltz Post-Mortem, the second preview of Hour of the Wolf, with a video directed by Daniel Wahlstrom. It comes out through Fireflash Records.
The album is the tenth the Swedish band have made, and they built it to a length that fits on one side of a ninety minute tape, which tells you most of what you need to know about how they think. Nothing about the new song argues with that: it is the traditional heavy metal they have played since the late nineties, written tight and played fast, with the twin guitar lines doing the melodic work rather than any studio trick.
Fireflash carry the record, and the video is the band's second piece of visual work for it after the first single. Wolf have spent a quarter of a century refusing to modernise and have outlasted most of the bands that did.
