Xenos A.D. have added a fifth date to the second leg of their Oppressor Over Europe Tour: 15 November at the Cart & Horses, with the British band Fracture Point and the Cypriot band Ka'aper supporting.
The venue is the detail. The Cart & Horses in east London is where Iron Maiden played their first shows, and it has carried a small room's worth of British metal ever since. For a thrash band from Agrigento, it is both a booking and a line in a biography.
The run as announced is five dates across three countries: 31 October at Into the Crypt Fest in Italy, 14 November at Thrashchester Fest in England, 15 November at the Cart & Horses, then 9 January at Freak Out Fest in Switzerland and 16 January at Pandemonium Over Lugano.
Five dates spread over eleven weeks is how a band with three albums and no tour bus reaches other countries: festivals that pay, club shows between them, and a break over Christmas because nobody in Europe books a Sicilian thrash band in December.
