Yob will play again in December, three shows in the part of the country they come from. Revolution Hall in Portland on the seventeenth and the WOW Hall in Eugene on the eighteenth, both with Wayfarer, then Rain City Doom Fest in Seattle on the nineteenth.
What they are coming back from is specific. The band postponed their touring in September because Mike Scheidt needed surgery for spinal stenosis, and the condition was causing nerve damage in his left arm and hand. He plays guitar and sings. There is no version of that diagnosis that is a small problem for the person it happens to.
Yob have been going since 1996 out of Eugene, which makes the Eugene date the one with weight on it. Mike Scheidt has been the band's only constant across The Great Cessation, Clearing the Path to Ascend and Our Raw Heart, the last of which came out of a different medical emergency entirely.
Three dates at home to end a year that was supposed to hold more of them.
