The video for Feel the Fear by Anger Outburst has been selected for the Silver Screening at the Berlin Music Video Awards. For a project that exists because of a war, that is a strange and specific piece of good news.

Segnir started Anger Outburst in 2022, in the first month of the war, in Kherson. It was a studio solo project then and the first album was written while the city was occupied. He now works from Hamburg, and the songs have stayed on the same subjects: war, totalitarian regimes, the fight for freedom.

Musically it sits in the melodic death metal that Swedish bands made the standard, which is the reference point the project reaches for itself: the weight of Amon Amarth, the attack of Arch Enemy, the vocal range of Soilwork. One album, Free We Are, came out in 2022.

The second is arriving a song at a time rather than in one piece. Six of its tracks are out, the most recent of them There Is No God on 18 September. Releasing an album that way is what a one person project does when there is no label schedule to meet and no reason to wait.
