Abhorrency have put out Anthropodermic Bibliopegy, the first piece of Upheaving Utopia, which Invictus Productions will release at some point during 2027.

The title is not invented. Anthropodermic bibliopegy is the practice of binding a book in human skin, and surviving examples sit in a handful of European and American library collections, which is a narrower and colder thing than most extreme metal song titles reach for.

A fourteen month gap between a first track and an album is unusual this far underground, where the normal pattern is to announce a record once it is finished. Putting one song out this early reads like a label placing a marker rather than a campaign starting.

The band formed in Sacramento in 2019 and have moved quickly for a project of three people. Demo MMXX came in 2020, the debut full-length Climax of Disgusting Impurities in 2022, and a four way split called Unholy Death Quadrumvirate in 2023.

This will be their second album. No track list, no title art and no month have been given for it.
