Blood of Angels have joined the international roster of SoundsRock Agency. The Tampa band have been going since 2015 and have two albums out, the most recent of them Les Angst ov Thanatou, a concept record about mortality.
An agency is a different kind of deal from a label and it says something about where a band thinks its problem is. Blood of Angels already have records out through Sliptrick and a wall of small awards, including a Hollywood Independent Music Award in 2023 and three from the Akademia. What they want more of is shows, and a booking roster is what buys those.
The evidence that it can work is last year. In 2025 the band headlined their own European tour, which for a Florida band with two albums is further than most of their peers get, and the agency's own line is about expanding that live presence rather than about recording.
The line up is Randy Reyes on vocals and acoustic guitar, Aaron Robinson on guitar, Jonathan Rushford on drums and keys, and Leonidas on bass. The sound they describe pulls from death, black and thrash metal at once, which is a hard thing to sell on paper and an easy one to sell from a stage.
