Cradle Of Filth have a second anniversary product out of the same record. Dani Filth and the jewellers The Great Frog have announced a three piece collection for thirty years of Dusk and Her Embrace: a ring, a pendant and a limited long sleeve shirt.
The two metal pieces are built around the band's dragon sigil and are handcrafted in 925 sterling silver, made to order from the company's London workshops. That phrase is the commercially interesting part. Made to order means no stock sitting unsold, which is how a small workshop can put a band's mark on silver at all without taking the risk a merchandise run normally carries.
It is also the second time this anniversary has been turned into an object. The record was already reissued in a coffin shaped box earlier in the cycle.
None of which is unusual for this band, who have monetised their own iconography more carefully than most of their peers for three decades. The shirt is the mass market end, the silver is the other one, and an album from 1996 is paying for both.
