Diamond Rowe of Tetrarch played "Enter Sandman" at the Atlanta Falcons game against the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday night, inside Mercedes-Benz Stadium, in the city she is from. We covered the booking when it was announced; she has now said what it was like.

"We brought heavy music to NFL Sunday Night Football," she wrote on Monday. "I have dedicated my entire life to this instrument. Countless hours practicing, years of grinding, taking risks, making sacrifices, and chasing a dream that many told us was impossible." She put the crowd at seventy thousand.

The song was her choice. Rowe says the Falcons asked her to suggest something recognizable with energy in it, and that Metallica were the first thing she thought of, being the band that got her playing guitar at all.

A metalcore guitarist playing a thirty five year old thrash song to a stadium full of people who came for football is not a career move in any direction that can be measured. It is simply the largest audience anyone from this scene has played to this year, and she chose to spend it on the riff that started her.
