Dieth have signed to Fireflash Records and released Pound of Flesh, the first song recorded with the line-up they rebuilt earlier this month.

Announcing a deal and a single together is the sensible order for a band in this position. Dieth were a supergroup assembled around a name that has since left, and the question anyone asks is whether the band still exists as a going concern. A contract and a finished song answer that in one morning.

Fireflash is a German label with a roster built on exactly this kind of act: experienced players, small catalogues, European touring. Guilherme Miranda says it feels like the right home because the label shares their view of where the band can go, which is the line every signing announcement carries and which here at least comes with a record already written.

Tobias Cristiansson plays bass on it, with Grave and Necrophobic behind him, and that is the thing the song has to prove. New line-up, new music, new album, Miranda says, and this is just the beginning.
