Dominion are streaming Mortification of Thy Flesh in its entirety before release day. It is their first album, and Sinistrari Records, which put out the EP that opened this campaign, has it.
Giving away the whole record early is a decision a band only makes when the record is the argument. There is no single to hold back and no mystery to protect: the material was written through the spring and summer of 2025, recorded from November at Witch House Studios in Groton, and the band wants it heard as a block.
The line-up that plays it is not the one that started. After moving back to New Hampshire and into a rehearsal space in Manchester, the band brought in Claytanas on drums in place of Flagellator, and the writing happened with him in the room rather than around him.
What comes out is old school death metal with no interest in being pleasant: aggression first, and the confrontational end of the genre's subject matter rather than the fantastical one. For a debut on a small label, a full stream is the cheapest honest way to find the people who want that.
