Draconicon have released We Are Tyrants with a video, the first song from Empire, which arrives in early 2027.
Grym Hünter does not dress up what makes this release significant for the band. "After everything that happened behind the scenes over the last few years, finally being able to share new music with everyone makes this release particularly important for us," the singer and rhythm guitarist said. "And this is only the beginning."
That line reads differently once you know the band rebuilt themselves as a five piece with a violinist before any of this was recorded.
On the song itself he is more straightforward. He calls it direct and powerful, and says it shows the attitude the band wanted on the album, which the lyrics carry: power, domination and the appetite of the people doing the ruling.
Valeria Cascenco directed the video and handled post production, with costumes by Gabriele Stazi and Francesca Trani. Alessandro Mammola mixed and mastered the track. More from Empire is promised over the coming months.
